A certified organic estate that extends over 130 hectares, Fontodi is located in Panzano, in the heart of Chianti. Its vines are endowed by high altitude, calcareous clay-schist soil, ample light and optimal micro-climate with marked diurnal differences in temperatures.
The Costanti family in Montalcino dates back to the 16th century. In the last 50 to 60 years, its winery has been celebrated as one of the greatest producers of Brunello di Montalcino, thanks to the vintners’ respect for terroir, and patient slow maturation in bottle, as befitting the area’s cool climate.
Born from the Bolgheri area that shares similar climatic and terroir conditions as prime Bordeaux vineyards, Sassicaia is widely acknowledged as one of the world’s finest Cabernet Sauvignons. This ‘Super Tuscan’, known for its immense power and length, became the first single-estate wine to be granted its own DOC in 2013.
